Refund policy

We request you to thoroughly read through the Return and Refund policy prior to making a purchase.

General Policy

All our products are crafted in small batches, and as such, we generally do not accept returns. We encourage our customers to make an informed decision before placing their order- this includes reviewing all our product images and considering the size of the bags with the dimensions mentioned on the product page. If you need a clarification, may also reach out to info@makeththou.com prior to making a purchase

However, in exceptional circumstances, return requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Change of Mind returns are not accepted.

Submitting a Return Request

If you believe your situation warrants an exception, return requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days from the date your order is marked as delivered by the carrier.

All return requests must be sent to info@makeththou.com and must include:

  • A clear explanation of the reason for the return
  • Photos and/or videos of the item(s) and any areas of concern

Returns will only be approved after our team has reviewed and approved the submitted photos and documentation. Once approved, you will be provided with further instructions on how to proceed.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different item, please return your original order (subject to approval) and place a new order separately.

Return Condition Requirements

All returned items must meet the following conditions without exception:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • In original packaging with all tags intact
  • Accompanied by all original materials, including:
    • Polybag with barcode
    • Postcards
    • Tags
    • Thank you cards
    • Dust bags
    • Wrapping papers

The absence of even a single item from the original packaging will disqualify the product from being eligible for a return.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received by our team, the item will be evaluated. A refund will only be processed after the product has passed our quality inspection.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected at our warehouse.

Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method (including prepaid credit cards).

Please note that the following fees will be deducted from your refund value where applicable:

  • A 10% restocking fee
  • Return shipping fee
  • Any applicable duties & taxes

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please email info@makeththou.com within 3 days of receiving the product with:

  • A video and photos clearly showing the area of damage

Please note:

  • Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not applicable for damages caused by customer negligence.
  • Our team will request detailed photos and a full account of how the damage occurred before making a decision.
  • All decisions made by our team are final.

Return Shipping

US & Australian Orders: A prepaid return shipping label will be provided. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Please note that the return shipping fee may differ from the shipping fee paid at checkout.

International Orders: Return shipping costs are entirely at the customer's expense. Additionally, any duties and taxes imposed by the country the item is being returned to must be paid by the customer. All international returns must be shipped using a trackable shipping service.

Rejected Returns

If a returned item fails our inspection, the item will be shipped back to you at your expense, and no refund will be issued.

Non-Refundable Charges

Sales tax and shipping tax charged at checkout are government-imposed taxes that are automatically remitted to the relevant local tax authorities. These taxes are non-refundable — as they are not collected or held by us, they are not eligible for refund, even in the event of a return.

Policy Violations & Abuse

Excessive, unreasonable, or fraudulent returns — as well as violations of this policy — may result in restrictions on future orders or returns.

All sale items, including flash sale items are FINAL SALE.
